Food as Family

This series is particularly special to me because fruits symbolize times of the year that I spent with my family. Each fruit reminds me of a certain family member so I chose to showcase that through photographs inspired by Carravagio's Baroque still-life paintings.

Dad

Dad loves fruit of all kinds, I often help him grocery shop and these particular fruits are always on every shopping list.

Sister

The wild child of the family loves the strangest of things. One time we ate a bag of lemons together, just add some salt and they're delicious.

Mom

Autumn is mom's favourite season, so naturally, we go pumpkin picking every year. I always convince her to buy lots of gourds.

Aunts

No matter how old I get, I'm sure that there's a plate of sliced apples waiting for me whenever I visit my aunts.

Grandparents

The bowl of grapes is never empty at my grandparent's house, even though they sometimes forget to wash it.
